Bitcoin is increasingly becoming popular in Ghana most especially among the youth who mostly trade in
bitcoin and use bitcoin as an investment. Bitcoin and its underlying technology, Blockchain have
enormous growth potential in Ghana. Bitcoin users are the teeming youthful population of Ghana living
in the central and southern parts: Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western Region and Central Regions of the
country, which is the commercial zones. A lot of the youth learnt about bitcoin through a friend, or
through learning about forex trading, or surfing online. They use bitcoin as their long term investment,
hoping to sell their bitcoin later in the future at a higher price.
Ghana gets a Bitcoin Technology Center in the city of Ejisu, Ghana, as part of the legacy of the inaugural Africa Bitcoin Conference. The center will be run by and for the benefit of the local community in Ghana.
On December 8th, 2022, Built With Bitcoin founders Ray Youssef and Yusuf Nessary intend to showcase the campus. Several representatives of the global Bitcoin community will be present for the tour.
